Chelmer House Chelmer House stands proud on the bank of the Brisbane River, a Cape Cod inspired home completed in 2008. The architectural language is a mix of Georgian England and Contemporary Hampton’s whist also maintaining the contextuality to Brisbane. The building serves as more than just a family home, but rather a residence of stylistic proportions and contemporary reinvention in order to enhance the lifestyle of its occupants. The Cape Cod style is evident through not only the materiality but also the form. The weatherboards and stone collaborate with the white accents and embellishments, allowing for the spaces to align with the key elements of coastal Hampton’s living.
